Side Income Ideas - 5
I received an email from Amy Quinn of BusinessCreditCards, when they posted not 7, not 17, but 77 ideas when you can earn some side income on their site. Naturally, since I was writing about side income lately, I was as curious as a fat cat. I went through the list and picked up some good ideas that I’ve not thought of before, to make some side income.

Although not every idea listed there might be applicable to you, it depends on the time you have, your existing skill set and obviously, your personal preferance. If you have never earn any side income before, and this is your first attempt, I’d like to remind all you readers here these points:-
- make sure what you do is not against your current employment agreements. In other words, if you employer knows about it, it would not jeopardize your day job. If at all possible, get consent from your boss
- find out your skill set first and apply yourself here first before learning new skills to make money
- avoid anything that requires you to buy equipment or invest in any assets
- while you might be really desperate for some cash now, try to imagine what you are doing down the road. See if there is any potential to grow your side income business
- if you are not sure whether to use a certain idea, then take a risk and be open to possibilities i.e challenges
The article from BusinessCreditCards was written by Christina Laun. First off, I think ideas like being a handyman, shovel snow and houseplant maintenance don’t go down with me. No thank you! It’s not really my cup of tea or sustainable in the long run, I think. But other stuff sound quite interesting. Like being a DJ or putting your musical skills to good use. Take a look at the list. You can use it to jog your memory and think of something you can do for side income.
Looking at the list and seeing DJ and musician listed, suddenly I thought of a friend who have a good sense of humor and a clear voice, made side income from being a Master of Ceremony, or MC to be short. By partnering up with friends who does audio equipment rental, he’s making good money today while still keeping a day job. I have in the pas, joined Toastmasters International and have some training in giving speeches. Although being a MC is not an easy job as some might think it is, if you have the gift of the gap, why not give it a shot.
What do you think about the 77 ideas list? Any side income ideas that worked for you?
