Side Income Idea

ContactSome of the early readers of this site will realized that one of the things that got me started writing is about simple side income ideas you can do to improve your financial situations. I’ve not written anything for quite a while so here is one that I gave it some thought. I came across Sarah Deutsch’s Pinkleberry Services while surfing around.

Sarah started Pinkleberry Services, a personal assistant service for ad-hoc customers who don’t require a full time personal assistant. She makes herself available to help with shopping, errands, courier, house-sitting, package pick-up, and anything that requires your attention.

The idea behind Pinkleberry is most people have too many things on their plate to take care of smaller stuff like waiting for the cable repairmen, paying bills etc that they have no time for living i.e. doing things they enjoy.

The plus points for a business like Pinkleberry is it requires almost no capital to start, no office to maintain, at least not in the initial stage and once clients needs are satisfied, I’m pretty sure they would become repeat customers. I’m sure many people would wish they have an personal assistant from time to time to handle all the things they hate to take care off.

Seems like more people besides top executive want to outsource their life. There this article about a reporter who out sourced his life by hiring several people to take care of the nitty gritty things. He is not broke from hiring people, but in contrary, it make life more interesting to be able to do the things you like and enjoy. At the same time, he can be more productive too.

As a side idea, I thought it could be profitable to organize students to do part time work for executives who can’t or choose not to hire full time secretary. Any takers?
