One of many people’s concerns is about retirement and retirement planning became an industry by itself. Of course it is perfectly normal to ensure we have enough money to us through in their golden years, but are we over doing it?
Many fall in love with the idea of being able to travel the world, enjoy the good things without financial worry. Is this idea practical or something we see in Hollywood? Sure it would be good to live the lifestyle of the rich and famous, but are we setting ourselves up for disappointment.
You don’t have to wait to enjoy holidays nowadays. Airfares are much cheaper these days. Do you really need to accumulate that much? I’m sure you have heard this, nobody on their deathbed said, “I wish I’ve spent more time at the officeâ€. Many people work in jobs they hate, around people they can’t stand, for much longer hours that they care just to chase a dream to be able to leave their jobs once they have the financial ability to do so!
Also, try to do work you enjoy for a change. Don’t quit your job yet but explore your options. You may be surprised what you can find. Live life with purpose and you will never need to retire.
Statistics have shown those who retire without purpose have more sickness and dies faster. So why in the world do people want to retire early?
