The thing is, you&#039;d have to do your homework first (just like with any other investment) to determine if the collectible is likely to retain its value for a long time. Remember the Beanie Baby craze of the early &#039;90s? People were spending hundreds of dollars on &quot;rare&quot; ones. Now I don&#039;t think anyone cares about them anymore, so those who amassed huge collections are basically stuck with all of those worthless stuffed animlas.

I realize that vintage guitars and Beanie Babies are in completely different leagues, but you get my point!!</description>
