Multiple Income Channels
As I thought more about it, I’m inclined to think that there is truly only one source of income. Perhaps being a Christian and believing that there is a God have something to do about it.
Well even if you are not that spiritual, think about it awhile. If God or a supreme being created the world and the universe, then all that is His. What we do, are merely being channels of that income! None of us created the source. We set up the channel.
Perhaps this short story will illustrate my point better. Got this story listening to Bill Hybels tape on Courageous Leadership . Here is goes.
A group of scientist, the most brilliant in the world we gathered and they were kind of congratulating one another for the progress mankind have made. They’ve spilt the atom, send man to space, cured numerous disease, clone animals, humans etc. etc. But when the subject of God came up, they end up arguing with one another. So they decided to send one of them to find God, tell God to go away and leave them alone. So he went and found God, and had the following conversation.
Scientist: God, please go away, leave us alone and don’t come back. We have done quite well without your interference. We don’t like to argue every time we talk about you. So if you go away, we won’t end up arguing.
God: Is that so?
Scientist: Yes. See we don’t need you anymore. You know like spilt the atom, send man to space, cured numerous disease, clone animals and even human beings. Adn we did this all on our own without your help.
God: That’s very impressive.
Scientist: We thought so too. So please leave us alone because we don’t need you anymore.
God: Ok. On one condition.
Scientist: Ok. What’s the condition?
God: Let’s make man like in the beginning. From dirt.
Scientist: That’s easy.
The scientist grabbed a handful of dirt from the ground and proceeded to make a man.
God: No, no. You get your own dirt!
Multiple income source or channel, I leave it to you to decide. Of course the bottom line is more money, and hopefully less work and more time for your loved ones.
