Money Relationship

How do we relate to money? I would say of our culture today, one of it, is centered upon so call financial freedom. Let’s put a few possible defination here first : -

1. Having enough money that I don’t have to work,
2. Have enough income generating asset, so that I don’t have to work.

My ideal was No.2, which is to build assets and/or businesses that requires little time to manage so that I have the time to do the things I really like or feel there is a greater purpose.

I’ve bought into that ideal, and for about a decade, my heart was on getting there. This first venture, where I spent the last 9 years wasn’t something that fit my personal interest or natural gifts. For the last 6 months or more, as I thought up and ventured into a new business, I came to realise building up assets or business that do not need my time, is not something easy or ideal.

Though my new venture would require a few years to get stable, at least I’m enjoying the journey this time round. And I would encourage others to do the same.

I would like to sign off with this point for you to ponder, “are you doing something God designed you for or you doing or working just for the money, and sacrificing your happiness”

btw, if you really enjoy doing something, and you’re good at it, a big part of it is because God made you that way.
