Some great ideas here for making some good money. What I am doing is preserving what I do in whatever format and combine and repackage them, and sell/post them as I am sure there are millions people that can benefit from your experience and you get royalty fee for it.

Wow, Ed! Great idea! I hadn't thought of it that way. Turning my power points and lessons into videos and ebooks would be a killer way to earn extra money from work I've already done.

Thanks,
Sherri

Well, Sherri, I'd say, if you have the time and you enjoy teaching, why not? I'd say go for it. Then as you go along, you can summarize all your lessons into an ebook or lessons with video tutorials charge money for that. You can charge cheaper per person but you'll no longer be tied exchanging your time for money.

Teaching full time will give you the exposure & establish your reputation.

I'm a science and math geek. I tutor, using my skills to teach stressed out high school students what their teachers can't seem to get across to them.

It's lucrative. I earn anywhere from $19-$45 per hour, depending on whether I get my own clients or they come from the tutoring company I work for.

My next big decision is do I start teaching full time? I'm not sure about this one. I may just have to give it a try to find out. I have to remind myself that I can always quit after the school year if it doesn't fit me. Having benefits again and getting paid 12 months but only having to work 9 is very attractive. (They actually only pay you for 9 months of work, but stretch your pay out over the whole year so you don't have to scratch and scrape during the summer).

Geeks rule!
