Income Ideas 1
Here are 5 business ideas I’ve thought about to earn extra income. These ideas will be low capital ideas that you can implement. Of course it would require some work.
1. Lawn moving. If you have a lawn mover, you could offer to mown the lawn in the neighborhood. If you want to make it into a business. Hire someone to mown the lawn, you do the marketing. This would work well for younger people. You can borrow a lawn mover if you don’t have one.
2. Snow shoveling. If you live in a cold area, instead of mowing lawn shovel snow off people’s drive way.
3. Mobile car wash. Offer to wash cars in your area. If you are more ambitious, get your customers to commit to 2 or 3 times weekly wash. Charge less per wash to make it tempting. For example, if you charge $10 per wash, you can charge $25 or for weekly wash. When you wash a car regularly, it get’s easier. Up sell by offering your customers vacuum, waxing and polishing.
4. Clean windows for shops and retail business. Shops need to have really clean windows. Equipment required – a bucket, window cleaning fluid, a squeegee and a long pole. Some business owners may need home cleaning services. Check out home cleaning business.
5. Computer maintenance. If you have some computer skills, you can offer to clean up viruses, defrag hard drive, install ad-blocker and Windows software updates. You can charge between $25 upwards depending how much time is needed.

Advertise in office blocks with small offices. They cannot stand long down times if their PC’s don’t run and most likely, would not have in-house computer support. Again, be creative a get a 6 monthly service contract for regular maintenance. For emergency services i.e. when their PC crash due to viruses etc. you can charge a bit more.
