I missed a post yesterday as a close uncle passed away last night, and we (my wife and I) helped in anyway we could. He was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer about 4 months ago, and over that time, we visited him more often, to offer encouragement and support to him and the family.
It is rather sad too, just a few days earlier, the Prime ministers’ wife passed away, also due to cancer. Rich or poor, well known or not, all share a common destiny, yet there is hope for those who believe.
John 14:2-3 in my Father’s house, are many rooms: if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you with me that you also may be where I am.
I’m sad to miss him, yet happy to know he has gone home to be with Jesus Christ, and not suffer pain anymore this side of heaven. I was honored and privileged to be there when he left.
Point to ponder : What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?
