While on the subject of gold, I remember watching a toon about rich Uncle Scrooge, the wealthy uncle of Donald Duck. (I can’t remember all the details, so if I’m wrong, please forgive the inaccuracy)
On this episode, Uncle Scrooge got hold of a golden goose, removing it from its special resting spot. A while later, the gold goose started to turn everything to gold. We are talking the whole planet here. Uncle Scrooge managed to return the golden goose and save the planet.
Image the whole planet turned to dead cold glittering gold, including people, trees, ocean….. not an interesting place anymore. Can’t eat gold apples. The only place I’ve read where the roads are paved with clear transparent gold is heaven, in verse 21:21 in the book of Revelation.
