Effectively Free Education

I surfed over to Ramit Sethi’s blog which I do from time to time, and was happy to see that college education is free at Stanford University. If you are in the USA, (in which quite a lot of my readers are), this is the best of times to gain a degree and more importantly, gain knowledge for better employability.

Under the new program, parents with incomes of less than $100,000 will no longer pay tuition. Parents with incomes of less than $60,000 will not be expected to pay tuition or contribute to the costs of room, board and other expenses.

graduation

This would be a dream come through for many people. I remembered when I applied to uni, I was offered a course which was my last choice. Civil engineering versus mechanical engineering. Although I’m happy where I am now, and have no regrets, there is still the DIY improver in myself that likes to make stuff work better.

Anyway, if you are young, a proper education at a prestigious college help a lot toward making money later in life.
