Okay, I’m on a roll when it comes to side income ideas this month. Perhaps it is the heat over here. Or maybe it is just luck. Anyway, for those of you who are good at writing or you are creative, or just plain want to make your grey matter work a bit, there is this site PickyDomains, that pays you $25 for suggesting a name.

It works like this. If you ever wanted a domain name, you know how difficult it can be at times. All the good ones have been chosen. Or have they? Thinking of a nice catchy name that describes what your site is about can be quite difficult. Or it could have been taken by someone else. (more…)

Side Income Idea 3

Just when I was running short of side income ideas, I drop by this rather interesting blog One Man’s Goal by Bryan Clark, not the famous Bryan Clark of Copyblogger. But I reckon that this Bryan, will be just as well known if not already on the way to be well known.

I came across Bryan’s blog when I signed up for Blogmastermind last year. Due to other commitments, I wasn’t as diligent as Bryan. Goes to show sometimes, when you are not desperate enough, you are probably not that focus. Anyway, how diligent was Bryan?

I put in 12 hour days the first month 7 days a week to get my blog to a respectable level!

Although making money by blogging is quite a common side income nowadays, what’s interesting is that Bryan sold his blog for $ 8,500 to help pay bills. The interesting part is that later on, he bought the blog back! For a lower price! Not that any sabotage like that. Just that the new owner did not have the time so the traffic and revenue dropped.

Making Your Side Income Your Main One

side incomeIn my discussion with friends and acquaintances, I know of many who are not happy with their current work situation. Usually it is because of income, the boss co-workers, the long commute or more time with growing children. Some speak of having a side income to supplement the main income in order to be able to say No on certain assignments. And I think, many would like to be able to generate passive income.

I was a little crazy and stupid perhaps a bit lucky to be able to transition jump and survive from earning a fixed income to commission based work more than 10 years ago. 2 years ago, I help my wife do something similar. Looking back, for myself at least, to when I made a rather drastic move, I always wondered if there is be a better strategy to make such a transition.
